L V Lowther

I am an Artist Educator whose practice has always been anchored in diversity, inclusion, identity and voice.

In my Art Practice, I am concerned with historic and contemporary narratives around equality and the empowerment of women and girls, in particular. I am interested in the liminality of the spaces we occupy, and from where we operate and view society and the world. Ideas around Presence and Absence are ingrained as both process and concept. My methodology is driven and built around these ideas and in the search for meaning, socio/political expression, thought and voice.

In my Educational Practice, I am an experienced Teacher and Neurodiversity specialist / assessor. I have always been an advocate for creating enabling environments for all children and students - rooted in the belief that every child can learn, achieve and should be able to find their strength and talents in an accessible system that positively supports them.
